Needs

  • High levels of anxiety, depression, trauma, and stress linked to economic instability, crises, and displacement.
  • Children and displaced families face repeated trauma, disrupted daily life, and urgent psychosocial needs.
  • Lebanon has limited availability of psychiatrists and psychologists, with many services unaffordable or unavailable.
  • Structural service gaps, limited public reach, and stigma prevent many people from accessing care.

Amel combines specialized mental health care, psychosocial support, structured therapy, clinical interventions, case management, support to frontline responders, and evidence-based documentation.

Inclusive Access to Quality MHPSS

Providing sustained access to integrated mental health and psychosocial support services, including specialized care for trauma, anxiety, depression, and stress-related conditions.

Structured Therapy and Clinical Support

Delivering individual and group therapy sessions, clinical interventions, and case management for crisis-affected populations.

Support for Frontline Responders

Enhancing emotional resilience, preventing burnout, and promoting mental wellbeing among humanitarian workers through psychosocial sessions and individual counseling.

Evidence-Based Practice and Policy

Documenting and analyzing programme outcomes to inform Lebanon’s National Mental Health Programme and strengthen evidence-based strategies across the mental health sector.
