Amel Association International is seeking qualified Child Protection and Gender-Based Violence Social Workers to join its team in Nabatieh.

The Social Workers will plan and facilitate psychosocial support, life-skills, recreational, and awareness activities; conduct community outreach; safely identify and refer individuals requiring specialized services; and support the monitoring of beneficiaries’ protection needs.

📍 Duty station: Nabatieh, Lebanon
🕒 Contract: Full-time
📅 Employment period: Until April 2027
💵 Salary: USD 1,100

Main responsibilities

  • Develop and implement activities with the Protection and GBV team
  • Lead community groups and personal- and community-development initiatives
  • Conduct outreach and identify eligible participants
  • Facilitate psychosocial support, life-skills, recreational, and awareness sessions
  • Complete monitoring and evaluation tools and maintain attendance records
  • Ensure the safe identification and referral of beneficiaries
  • Monitor cases and follow up on vulnerabilities
  • Coordinate with the GBV Case Worker and psychologist
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports and activity documentation
  • Participate in training, coordination meetings, and community-based activities
  • Protect the confidentiality of beneficiaries’ information

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Social Work
  • At least three years of practical experience implementing protection projects with national or international NGOs
  • Experience in Child Protection and GBV programmes is strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of Child Protection and GBV in humanitarian contexts
  • Familiarity with Child Protection tools, safe identification and referral procedures, and PSEA guidelines
  • Experience facilitating training or activities for children and young people of different ages
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently, manage demanding workloads, and operate with limited resources
  • Fluency in Arabic and English
