Education Field Coordinator – South Lebanon

Amel Association International is seeking an Education Field Coordinator to support its education programmes in South Lebanon. The position is based in South Lebanon and Amel’s headquarters in Beirut.

The Field Coordinator will work with project teams, the Education Department, local partners and communities to ensure that activities are delivered safely, effectively and in line with programme objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate field teams and maintain regular communication with the project and education coordinators.
• Support activity planning and implementation through field visits, technical guidance and logistical coordination.
• Build working relationships with local communities, partners, authorities and other stakeholders.
• Monitor local developments and security risks, and share relevant updates with the team.
• Promote quality education services, child rights, safeguarding, referral pathways and accountability to affected communities.
• Support data collection, monitoring and evaluation, and prepare regular reports on progress and lessons learned.

The coordinator may take on additional duties according to the needs of the education programme.

Qualifications and experience

Candidates should have:

• A university degree in education, management, administration or a related field.
• At least three years of experience in the humanitarian sector, preferably in education.
• Strong knowledge of Lebanon’s education system and non-formal education regulations.
• Knowledge of child rights, Do No Harm principles and minimum standards for education in emergencies.
• Strong communication and coordination skills, with fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English.
• Experience in data collection, analysis and Microsoft Office.
• A valid driving licence; access to a car is preferred.
• A commitment to humanitarian values and culturally sensitive practice.
