Amel Association International is seeking a qualified Protection Case Worker to join its team in Nabatieh.

The Case Worker will provide comprehensive case management and psychosocial support services to persons with specific needs facing medium to high protection risks. The role covers every stage of case management, from assessment and individualized planning to referrals, follow-up, documentation, and case closure.

📍 Duty station: Nabatieh, Lebanon
🕒 Contract: Full-time
📅 Employment period: Until April 2027
💵 Salary: USD 1,200

Main responsibilities

• Identify vulnerable individuals and conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments
• Develop individualized case plans with clear outcomes and timelines
• Provide counselling and psychosocial support
• Coordinate referrals and follow up with service providers
• Manage medium- and high-risk protection cases in accordance with inter-agency standards
• Coordinate with the medical focal point on health-related cases
• Facilitate emergency cash assistance for eligible vulnerable individuals
• Maintain accurate and confidential case files, referral forms, and reports
• Update Amel’s information-management system and the UNHCR RAIS/Kobo platform
• Maintain an up-to-date mapping of services available in the area
• Participate in case conferences, coordination meetings, training, mentoring, and supervision

Required qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Social Sciences, Gender Studies, or a related field
• At least three years of relevant experience in persons with specific needs case management within an NGO or humanitarian setting
• Strong knowledge of protection concepts, case-management standards, and psychosocial support approaches
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and in multicultural environments
• Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English
