What We Do ?
The Center was established in 2004 in collaboration with Italian organization Africa’ 70 to produce soap and extraction of aromatic oils in addition to train farmers to use modern farming methods and food manufacturing.
Currently, the cooperative producing organic soap. Amel Association International in 2014 provided the Center with modern equipment to improve the quality of production in collaboration with SDC Swiss Agency for development and cooperation.
The Cooperative role is to ensure permanent balancing development between urban and rural areas, especially that the Lebanese countryside abound traditional and agricultural resources. The project aims to create job opportunities and improving livelihood of rural families in South of Lebanon. The program also includes training in the areas of soap production and processing of medicinal herbs and essential oils, benefited by 500 women from the villages surrounding Ebl El-Saqi.
