What We Do?
Amel Association International headquarters hosts the Amel House of Human Rights, a pioneering center for legal education, advocacy, humanitarian action and youth empowerment in collaboration with Université La Sagesse.
Amel House of Human Rights
The Amel House of Human Rights (AHHR) is a dedicated center focused on developing advanced programmes in law, human rights and international humanitarian law.
Through strategic partnerships with academic institutions, particularly Université La Sagesse in Lebanon, the center contributes to strengthening legal education, civic engagement and regional dialogue on justice and human rights.
Summer School on Law & Armed Conflict
Every year, AHHR organizes a two week Summer School on Law and Armed Conflict gathering around 50 participants from across the Arab world.
The programme offers specialized courses in international law, armed conflict, visual advocacy and awareness sessions on the Palestinian issue.
Youth Empowerment & Regional Dialogue
The Summer School and AHHR activities provide young generations with the opportunity to better understand the major political, legal and humanitarian challenges facing the Middle East.
The initiative promotes critical thinking, advocacy skills and regional solidarity.
Medication Repository
The headquarters includes a central medication repository operating according to the standards of the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health.
This repository supports Amel’s humanitarian and health interventions across Lebanon.
MENNA Coffee & Goods Shop
Located inside the headquarters building, MENNA serves as a welcoming social and community space where visitors, volunteers and staff can connect and engage.
The space reflects Amel’s vision of dignity, inclusion and community solidarity.
A Space for Human Rights, Learning & Community
More than an administrative headquarters, Amel’s central building in Beirut represents a vibrant platform for humanitarian action, legal education, dialogue and community engagement.
Through the Amel House of Human Rights and its various initiatives, the headquarters contributes to building a new generation committed to justice, peace and human dignity.
