What We Do?
In February 2025, in partnership with the Centre de Crise et de Soutien of the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, CDCS, Amel Association International launched its first project in Mechmech, Jbeil, dedicated to older people.
The project aims to promote dignity, social inclusion and improved quality of life through comprehensive health, psychosocial and social services.
In July 2025, Mechmech witnessed the launch of a partnership between Amel Association International and the Mechmech Primary Healthcare Center, under the supervision of the Ministry of Public Health, to develop the center’s programmes and strengthen access to health services for residents of the town and surrounding areas.
Primary Health Care
The center works to strengthen access to quality primary health care services for residents of Mechmech and nearby communities.
Older Persons Support
Services focus on dignity, social inclusion, psychosocial support and improved quality of life for older people.
Local Partnership
The center is supported by Amel through cooperation with the local council and municipality, forming a sustainable development model capable of bringing real change to people’s lives.
Future Development
In 2026, the Center’s Director, Mr. Daniel Khoury, emphasized the ambition to expand programmes, enhance access to services for residents and contribute to advancing the national health sector through joint work with Amel.
