A delegation from the Beirut office of Al Mayadeen media network visited Amel Association International at its centers in Ain El Remmaneh and Haret Hreik. The delegation included the Director of Al Mayadeen’s Beirut Office, journalist Rony Alfa, and Operations Director Maroun Assaf. They were received by the President and Founder of Amel Association, Dr Kamel Mohanna.

During the visit, the delegation toured the association’s various departments and programs, gaining insight into its comprehensive health, social, and educational interventions. Alfa commended Amel Association’s strong commitment to human development and praised its pioneering role across different regions of Lebanon, particularly in times of crisis, where humanitarian response becomes an act of resilience and dignity.

For his part, Dr Mohanna emphasized that Amel Association and Al Mayadeen are on a shared path, a path grounded in standing with people and defending human dignity. He noted that Al Mayadeen has succeeded in amplifying the voices of peoples, supporting their just causes, and maintaining a principled, people-centered media approach that resists marginalization and distortion.

The visit underscored the importance of collaboration between responsible media and civil society institutions, as a cornerstone for promoting the right to information, advancing social justice, and highlighting human-centered issues in Lebanon and the wider region.
