The objective of this project is to contribute to alleviate the suffering of chronically ill Syrian refugees and host communities’ members as well as to reduce morbidity rates of type 2 diabetes and hypertension.
The activities of the project is implemented in Kamed El Loz , Al Ain, Tyre PHC, Hay ElSelloum centers, and Al Ain MMU, targeting vulnerable categories above 4o years.
Free consultations, medications, lab tests, awareness sessions, training and Psych-social activities are planned to address the need of 1100 persons (Syrian and Lebanese) in the mentioned centers, funded by Help Age international.
The partnership between Amel and Help Age started during 2014 to promote the right of older people to have dignified and healthy lives.
