Amel Association International is seeking a qualified Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Officer to join its team in South Lebanon.
The GBV Officer will support the coordination, monitoring, and reporting of GBV and protection activities, supervise relevant team members, and provide technical guidance to ensure the delivery of safe, inclusive, and high-quality services.
📍 Duty station: South Lebanon, with visits to Beirut
Main responsibilities
- Coordinate with Amel’s GBV and Protection programmes and external partners
- Contribute to programme strategies, action plans, logframes, and indicator reporting
- Monitor contextual developments and participate in relevant coordination meetings
- Monitor psychosocial support activities and coach social workers
- Collect and analyse case-management data for national-level reporting
- Coordinate and supervise the GBV case-management team, hotline operator, and psychologist
- Provide technical guidance and training on GBV, gender inclusion and mainstreaming, and psychosocial support
- Contribute to project performance and narrative reports
- Identify implementation challenges and recommend practical solutions
Required qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Social Work, Social Sciences, Psychology, Public Health, Midwifery, or a related field
- Two to three years of relevant professional experience
- Demonstrated experience in GBV case management and psychosocial support activities
- Strong analytical, data-management, and project-coordination skills
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in English
- Knowledge of French is preferred
