23 youths from several countries in the Middle East and Eastern Europe have travelled to Beirut to participate in the anual Erasmus+ programme, co-run by Amel. The seminar, focused on examining challenges related to diversity, exclusion, migration and radicalization, will run from Friday 8th until Thursday 14th of February.
The seminar will include a day trip to Amel’s Development Centre in Khiyam, South Lebanon, where participants will visit some of the sites in which Amel operates, including the Ebl el Seqi soap factory. Participants will also join a public event in Amel’s Haret Hreik Development Centre to encourage intercultural dialogue and respect for diversity with refugees and other marginalised communities.
