Since the beginning of the COVID19 pandemic local outbreak, Amel’s education program team has been striving to devise solutions and tools to continue providing educational support to the children and the youths of the marginalized population in Lebanon.

The program is implemented in 3 of Amel centers and the 2 Mobile Educational Units throughout Lebanon

This program has been providing access to non- formal education activities, aiming at helping the most vulnerable refugee and Lebanese children between 7 and 14 years old enrolled in the formal education system, to maintain and succeed in the formal education system, in parallel with implementing activities dedicated to counter youth illiteracy among host communities and refugees school dropouts.

The children also benefit from weekly psycho-social support through different methods, individually, and during collective sessions based on topics related to the broader goals of the project, in 3 of Amel centers and the 2 Mobile Educational Units throughout Beirut, Bekaa and Khiyam regions.

The new measures of the response plan to COVID19 lockdown, has been taking place since March, as the academic support is continues through the distribution of educational booklets and daily follow up’s by the teachers via social media platforms with the children and the youths.
