About The Role
The Field Coordinator – CBP project is based in Amel Association HQ – Musseitbeh, with at least 3 visits a week to the field (Amel’s community centers located in Ain el Remmaneh and Haret Hreik). They will work in close coordination with the Program Coordinator. They will provide technical assistance to the field team and strategic oversight, data managing and reporting on the implementation of the activities. They are responsible of a smooth implementation of activities in close coordination with the Program Coordinators and with other agencies and local authorities.
Responsibility n°1: Support the field team in the implementation of activities
- Follow-up on the implementation of activities and track progress of the project in Amel centers located in Haret Hreik and Ain El Remmaneh, according to Amel’s strategy and to the projects’ objectives
- Support the social workers on the organization of activities for the targeted population according to the yearly work plan
- Ensure that the team delivers sessions of awareness, life skills, and psychosocial support
- Ensure the team is fully capacitated towards delivering sessions of awareness, life skills, and psychosocial support
- Support the implementation of the project and oversee all necessary logistics, workshops, trainings, events, etc.
- Support the CDCs focal points on Community Groups structuring, profiling, activities, capacity building and outreach plans
- Follow up with the Outreach Volunteer coordinator on targets, outreach plans, referrals and regular meetings
- Follow up on the monitoring of the classes, development of action plans for the skilled participants and networking with livelihood partners/ potential employers
- Monitor monthly trainers’ timesheets shared by HoCs and intervene when needed
- Coordinate with CDCs focal points yearly targets, support in creating yearly workplan and monitor implementation of activities and sessions
- Identify the team needs in terms of capacity sharing and work on implementing trainings in coordination with the Program Coordinator
- Mobilize community support and participation in the various community-based activities
- Verify the implementation of the data protection and information sharing policy, relevant to the local context and according to the security situation
- Perform other duties as may be assigned
Responsibility n°2: Monitoring and Reporting
- Conduct regular field visits to Haret Hreik and Ain El Remmaneh centers and manage project operations within these centers
- Support in quarterly FGDs in CDCs among different people of concern
- Support and advise the center’s staff in their preparation and submission of their monthly reports;
- Contribute to the project’s quarterly and annual Reports
- Report to the Program Coordinators any challenges in the implementation of the activities
- Monitor the implementation and progress in the field and ensure that activities implemented are in line with approved plans and agreed indicators
- Collect data, compile and update information in the field
- Prepare routine progress reports as requested/ needed
- Inform and update teams on any reporting related topic
- Follow up with teams on KOBO reporting tools, Khadamati reporting and stay up to date in any new required tools
- Lead or co-lead weekly meetings to ensure all team members are on time with their tasks and receive the support needed to complete them
- Perform other duties as may be assigned
Responsibility n°3: Coordinating and networking
- Attend weekly coordination meetings with project management staff at Amel headquarters
- Attend regular meetings with CDCs focal points and Head of Center to address needs and follow up on program implementation
- Ensure proper coordination with other Amel projects and follow up on referrals in areas of intervention
- Assess ongoing needs for capacity building among staff, and discuss actions with the Program Coordinator in a timely manner
- Attend any relevant training organized by partners
- Responsible for attending all capacity building training offered by UN organizations and other partners as needed
- Ensure an encouraging and growing work environment for the field staff at CDCs
- Attend and engage in partner visits
- Build a strong relationship with local partners and represent the project before the partners when required
- Coordinate meetings with different stakeholders (communities’ representatives, NGOs, representatives and any other relevant stakeholders)
- Participate in the BML Protection Working group meetings
- Act as focal point for partners and all partner NGOs, as well as other relevant stakeholders and municipalities
- Represent the team in external visits (in coordination with Program coordinator)
- Create and nurtures the relationships with local stakeholders and authorities
- Support in the identification of partner organizations in the target area and in the outreach
- Stay updated with national information in all the sectors
- Perform other duties as may be assigned
Qualifications:
- 3 years’ experience as front-line worker, preferably social worker / case worker in Protection (required).
- At least 2 years’ experience in team management, excellent team spirit (required).
- Excellent communication skills, including conflict resolution skills
- Good organizational skills
- Notable knowledge of actors involved in Beirut – Mount Lebanon
- Excellent in English (spoken, written, read)
- Fluency in Arabic (spoken, written, read)
- Good knowledge of project management.
- Knowledge in GBV is a big plus
- Knowledge of procurement and logistics
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal skill and communication skills
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
Working hours: 5 days/week, 8 hours per day, from 8:00am till 4:00PM.
Period of employment: 1 year- renewable
