On 24th January, the French presidential candidate Emmanuel Macron has visited the Amel’s center in Ain el Rammaneh. The area of ​​Ain El Remaneh (suburb of Beirut) is one of the most vulnerable in Lebanon. 5,000 Syrian refugees and 10,000 Lebanese live in this region. Amel operates it’s center in Ain El Remaneh since 2007, targeting Iraqi refugees and marginalized Lebanese and Palestinian host communities. A series of empowering projects are being implemented at this center since then related to the following sectors: protection, education, vocational training and food security.
