Four years into the Turmoil of the Syrian Crisis
As Syria is entering its 5th year of a terrible war that has decimated its population and caused deep unrest in the neighboring countries, we have reached a point of no return. What started as a peaceful civil protest, driven by ideas of liberty and social renewal, has been transformed into the deadliest conflict of the 21st century, causing the death of more than 200,000 people and the displacement of almost 10 million, among which more than 3 million are refugees. This is why we consider that the time for real action to reach a political solution to the war in Syria has come.
