‘Having this space means we can finally turn our dreams into reality,’ says Leen, a young woman from Shwaya. Thanks to the new safe space secured through GYW’s advocacy, Leen has begun offering embroidery lessons to 30 girls and young women from the area. This initiative is making a significant impact by providing economic empowerment and opportunities for women to gain valuable skills and achieve financial independence.
This initiative falls under the She Leads project, which is implemented by Plan International Lebanon in partnership with Amel Association. The project aims to empower and equip girls and young women to speak up for their rights and lead change in their communities and beyond.
