As part of its ongoing commitment to supporting the most vulnerable populations, Amel Association International began distributing assistive devices to persons with disabilities and the elderly at its center in El Ain, Bekaa, on March 27, 2025.

This initiative is part of a project implemented in partnership with Medico International and with the support of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the German Federal Foreign Office (GFFO).

The project aims to improve the quality of life of persons with disabilities and older persons by providing essential assistive tools that enhance their autonomy and enable their effective participation in society. Through this effort, Amel reaffirms its commitment to delivering comprehensive, inclusive support, particularly in underserved areas across Lebanon.

Amel Association International operates 40 centers across Lebanon, 24 mobile medical units, two educational units, and one protection unit. These centers and units provide a wide range of healthcare, education, and social support services, with a strong focus on promoting dignity, citizenship, and social justice.
